As with any other exams, this time I was preoccupied with BBC's Doctor Who series during my spare time. Well, to be fair, a lot of my spare time. And also Modern Family. And also Gundam AGE, Spy Myeong Wol and another girly anime that I won't speak about. Doctor Who tells about a Time Lord, the last of his kind, who has the power to travel in time and space, everywhere and whenever he feels like it. Ain't really fair innit? So what does his spaceship look like? Its called the TARDIS, (Time and Relative Dimension in Space). Its decent.

Its a UK police box. Its used for emergency calling, back when mobile phones weren't invented yet. Kinda like Cybercop, no?

Poor Botak's computer just crashed this morning at around 4.00am. I knew because I was very awake at that time haha. Anyway, he had to dug in deep into his pocket to buy a new one. Apparently the motherboard was in no good condition, perhaps overheated. Luckily Shazli-kun the other roommate is a computer savvy, all around otaku, so its good to have tech support just near you. I tell you, it sucks to have your computer or laptop broken down just days before exams.

Yesterday was my birthday. So I am now officially 26 years young. Aww. Haha. Age doesn't really mean much, yes? Its much more important for whatever it is that is in your head, and your heart. If you always think positively, and have all that passion for every little thing that you do, then your body will show you for it, and make you look like you haven't really aged.

Well this is a little video about Maldives, a beautiful and tranquil place. And to be fair to the photographer/cameraman, he also took shots of the Maldives people, and they all look so happy there. Maybe I should one day be going there too. If there's wifi there, then it would be much more awesome too :p

Most people think winter is awesome. Most people are not me. The first few days would be awesome. Then it would be downright tiring and annoying. With all these snow getting into your shoes, in your nose, at the back of your neck, you know the drill. Every morning we all have to wait for the bus in front of the hostel in darkness, although its only about 8am. Its not helping when we have to wait for around 15 minutes or so for the bus to come, and then it would be like a tin can of sardines trying to fit into 1 bus.

You know, I'm not claustrophobic. I just dont like being with too many people in a small place. It gets on my nerves. Plus I sweat a lot when its too cramped, and I hate sweating when I put on my good clothes for class. Lucky for me, I only get stuck once in the hostel lift, which wasnt much of a big deal, since I was stuck for maybe around 10 minutes and I was with 2 other people. Talking about lifts, russian lifts are so goddamn scary. Even my parents came here 2 years ago, they thought the lift went rosak when there was a loud clanking noise,while actually it was just normal stuffs here. And then at the hospitals where we go to class, there's even a lift attendant, who actually lives in the lift? I mean, I can see a table there, a chair, perhaps maybe a water kettle? Most of them working are makcik or nenek and I tell you, they can have the ultimate mood swing ever, more than an average hormone-driven teenage girl who wants to rebel all the time. Everything you do is wrong.

So last Saturday we were planning about the hostels, bus, flights, and so on about our impending winter eurotrip. The motley crew this time around was to be me, Diana, Ipe, Ajee and Ain. The bubbly Sharifah wasnt to join us as she promised her mom to go back to Malaysia for awhile during this winter holiday, so that was a bummer. Anyway, we already paid for the flights and bus, the hostels looks decent, and I think we are ready to go :p I'm keeping the places that we are going to go as a secret as I havent told my parents about the places yet, but they already gave their consents. They're as cool as any parents can get, and I am eternally grateful for that.

Last Saturday my buddy Yumnesh invited me to join his superstar handball team to participate in the rsmu's handball tournament or whatsitsname I don't really give a rat's ass. We raped and pillaged all the other teams as we won the tournament, though I didn't score at all. I did have a shot at it, but my penalty shot was blazed into the kop and out of bound. I was just a substitute, but I could care less. Its my first medal of the year, and I hope to collect more as I am about to finish studying here in Moscow. Yeah, sports is a major thing in my life. I play futsal, football, handball, basketball, badminton. But mainly I play futsal these days.I don't really have the talent, but I try to make it up with my hardwork and dedication.

As we inch closer to the end of the roman year of 2011, why dont we stop and think, what are the things that we have done this year? How about those new year resolution? Any luck with that? This is my dad's and his siblings' house. Well,was. Due to its atrocious condition and somewhat sadly, unrepairable state, it was demolished to make way for new developments. Of course for my dad, this house has many meaningful memories and plentiful stories, but for me personally, the house was much than just a house. It was the place where I have the fortune of having the grace and opportunity to have experienced having grandparents. People usually take this for granted. Why do we miss old people only when they are gone? Why dont we cherish them when they are still here with us? I dont know. To each his own.

Both grandparents on either side of my dad and my mum has been kind to me. My jawa grandmother couldn't speak even a single word of Malay, but she was nice and always gave me a smile. My jawa grandpa although toothless (lol) was a very reasonable person. He plays to the stereotype though, wearing Indonesian style songkok and eccentric baju batik, which I find rather awesome. Legends has it, that he was tough as nails and don't really give a rat's ass about anything when he was younger, even chasing a thief who was caught red handed stealing his chicken with a parang, just like a scene out of a Hong Kong triad movie. Well, when you have around 10 children to feed, every little thing matters.

Turns out all his children were sufficiently educated, having been taught our jawa people's humility, hard-work and togetherness. I know since my dad is the de facto head of the family now since he is the first born son, I sometimes think that although I know he is being kind, I just have the feeling that he spoils his little bros and sisters a bit. I don't have to look far than to reflect and see inside myself, I know that I am like that too, perhaps being too nice and too complacent. I'm not much different to my dad, we both know that.

Having said that, I miss that old creaky house. It was simple, cozy, breezy, I had some of the best times there with my cousins, uncles and aunties (maman, wak and bibik as we fondly call them). Jemput-jemput dipped with unexplained spicy sambal for breakfast, lempeng, strong black coffee, nothing can replace them now anymore. If I'm not mistaken, they didn't even have a fridge or proper place to store food and stuffs, such was the condition. My dad's family had their hard times, but it didn't mean much to them, all those worldly possessions. Family comes first. When it comes to my time, it is my responsibility to pay them back too.

1 year has passed me by, and I'm currently in my 6th year of studies, and my 7th year of living in Moscow. My summer holidays was a bunch of mixed experience, but I guessed you could've just known that from viewing through my facebook albums and its many pictures. Only this time, I spent more time with the dudes, spending quality bromance time, to tell it more bluntly. I'm bitterly frustrated at not getting to be my mate Syamil's best man, as the wedding was postponed for a week after I was gone to Moscow. Sad, but he kinda promised to be my best man anytime soon. Weird. Arent married people not supposed to be best man? lol I'm not too sure about that anyway. Plus in any case, I got so many people on my mind on who is going to be my best dude. But lets not talk about it yet now shall we? =)

My only regret was not getting to see her for the last time before I flew away to Moscow. I thought she was already back from kampung when the day comes for me to fly but I was mistaken. Maybe the next time I'll see her again next year, she'll be married to some douche bag who doesn't know how to appreciate her as she is. Which is my biggest regret really. But you know, shit like these happens. It hurts me the most because she was my first, which in all respect I should have forgotten about her by now after almost 8 years. But she has this thing, like an invisible chain around my neck, with her sympathetic stories and such, and I'm such a sucker for that. But the marrying thing is normal I suppose. Most of my crushes and scandals *coughs* are already married or currently engaged. Good for them, since we are already 25 years old, and not 25 years young. Get it? =D

Moscow greeted me with her typical cold and harshness when I arrived at the Domodedovo International Airport by Emirates Airlines. I got ripped by fucking airport taxi, but that was to be expected. The lecturers were nice and negotiable for the first few cycles, so there were no problems for me. I moved to another room, since Hanhebat already graduated and I fear that some stinky caucasian guy will come and live with me, so I went to Shazli and Prem's room instead for refuge. The first few days was abit hard trying to rearrange my stuffs and the things Hanhebat left behind, so I took a couple of day to readjust to my new surroundings. I like the new room, its cosy, I live with 2 other people, so I suppose I will talk much more rather than just with 1 dude like Hanhebat lol.

I couldn’t sleep just now. Maybe because my stomach was still full after sahur, maybe because I watched an episode of Criminal Minds, maybe because I just had iced coffee. Seems that there has been a lot of contributing factors. Whatever. Time just happened to pass by. People come and go. Me, I’ve been lucky that I always had a bunch of friends when I needed them. I am what people call, an introverted kind of person, someone who seems passive, not overwhelming, and seemingly not friendly. I don’t need to be. I have the best bunch of buddies that I need.

Hanhebat was an awesome friend and roommate, smart, athletic, good sense of dress, damn tall for a Malay, had just graduated and has finally now found his significant other. On the other side of things, he seemed disinterested in attending mundane functions, doesn’t do much of getting out of the room, doesn’t do things out of the ordinary, but basically if that certain activity doesn’t involve much of his buddies, he couldn’t care less. Pretty much sounds like me, haha but I’d like to think that I’m much more of an outdoor person than he is.

So that’s one of the example of my friends. We tend to choose friends that we can relate to, who can just hear patiently to whatever crap we talk about. Its never a question of how many friends we have, it’s the matter of quality. I always think I have the best bunch of buddies in the world, who shapes me to what I am today. Granted, I don’t have a significant other, but that special someone would someday appear in front me. Don’t get me wrong, we do have to work to get what we want, so I’m just saying that out of context. Whats wrong with being choosy right? I think I’m a swell guy by the way hehe :D

Anyway, that’s not what I’m concentrating for at the moment. In about less than a year’s time, I’m about to graduate and enter the life of a mundane government worker. Government worker eh, doesn’t sound too bad, except for the part where I have to work 90 hours a week. All the big names and old doctors says that we complain for working too much, whereas when they were in their youth, they work more hours than today’s fresh grads. But personally for me, the mentality has changed much now. People used to respect the work and professions of others, respect them for what they are doing, be it teachers, doctors, policemen. They appreciate that these guys are working hard, giving all they’ve got. How about now? Do they even stop and think, appreciate? All they know is , complaining and complaining, and trying to find the bad in everything we do. A little appreciation and acknowledgement goes a long way you know, it never hurts. Parents who scolds teachers for smacking their kids, while actually the brats were at fault. Relatives or patients who cannot understand why somehow the doctors look lackadaisical and uninterested in doing their job right. Come on, just stop and think.

Yeah I think it’s the coffee. Bloody hell. Oh well, good morning, Sunday.

Hey guys, I'm back in Malaysia. Lots of things has happened for these past month. I didn't even notice it has been a month before I wrote this sentence down. The highlights of my holiday? I did lots of stuffs. Went to Ipoh, to Peter's durian dusun, but didnt really ate durian, it was on my most hated stuffs list hehe. Pangkor island was nice, got a tan I think, went snorkeling , the sea breeze was very nice for my lungs and my mind.

My good buddy Syamil asked me to be his best mate for his wedding, but unfortunately they delayed the date to a week later, and I couldnt make it. It was frustrating, but I understand, the date was too near raya, and most of the people are still at their kampung, so yeah. I wish you guys all the best anyway Syamil and Dayah :D

On different matters, I had mixed emotions too. Met Didie at her workplace in KLCC, had a nice lunch and talk. She asked me whether I'm interested in one of her colleagues, it was very nice of her, but I dont think I'm in for anything right now :) Most of the time these days I spent being a chaffeur for my sister sending her to Hospital Serdang for practicals, doing the house chores, feeding the cats, and gardening. Not forgetting all the slacking around with my good buddy Johan.

Not forgetting playing futsal with my friends Ukasyah and Ijaicool. Really high quality futsal, but I cant really stand the heat and intensity. So far, my holiday has been unexceptional. Oh except that one trip to watch Liverpool versus Malaysia. That was a chance of a lifetime. Well, I'm still enjoying my holiday, so cheers xD

Every year when I come back home for my holidays, it is a must for me to watch atleast a football match at a real and proper stadium. Usually I would just go to Stadium Shah Alam or the National Stadium at Bukit Jalil. I've watched Selangor playing in a friendly against an Indonesian team and the atmosphere was awesome.

3 big teams from the English Premierleague is coming to town and there is no way in hell I'm going to miss that. Arsenal, Chelsea and the mighty sleeping giants Liverpool are going to have a friendly against our very own South East Asian champions, the Malaysian national team. For this, I think I have to buy a Malaysian kit, but damn you Nike, your jersey are almost always out of my reach. Heck, I don't think I ever had a Nike jersey. Oh, except for that old Barcelona one that I bought during my Eurotrip.

I think I only wanna buy the RM58 ticket, free seating for each of those games. I don't really mind sitting anywhere. The National Stadium was built for the Commonwealth Games, as such, any ticket holder will almost always have a nice and proper view. 58x3= RM174, I think I can manage that :)

By the way I've already passed my first exam. 3 more are coming. This always sends shiver to my spines. Have a good weekend.

Engagement day.

So one of my Bangi mates are getting betrothed this coming September. I wish you guys all the best Syamil Musaddiq and his fiancee, Dayah Jumat. Which is one of the reason why I'm going back to Moscow for my 6th year a bit later than usual, just a couple of days really. Syamil and I go way back when we were in form 1 and when I was just a fledgling nerd, reading comic books, not interested yet in girls (actually I wasn't confident yet :p ) and yes, a librarian.

Mehh. Not a bad school.

Strictly speaking, I was not a librarian, me, Syamil and the other guys were in charge of handling the PA system, playing the Negaraku and Selangor anthem and so forth during assembly and other events. It just happens that our job as Pengawas APD (alat pandang dengar) fell under the jurisdiction of the damned librarians. Anyway, during assembly, although not all of us are actually on duty at the time, I usually just sneak in and lepak2 with the guys during the assembly because I dont want to sit down on the dirty ground like all those citizens hehe. Cause you see, we have really comfortable chairs on the stage, and maybe if I'm lazy the day before, I can take time to copy yesterday's homework from my class nerd during the assembly hehehe. Wearing a different colored uniform during school is cool. Not cool is wearing pink colored uniform. Like those sissy Pembimbing Rakan Sebaya. Or those Pengawas hard asses who wears green, sort of like a frog. Well, our uniform is light-yellow, just nice right? :D

So well yeah, I've been thinking, what sort of thing should I give them as a present? I think they call it housewarming? Man, I don't really know about this shit. Lets check it out anyway.

I've read this somewhere, so I'm not taking any credit from this. This year, 2011, there's no spring in Russia. There's winter, then it goes straight to summer. The weather was awesome starting from last week, but it was colder the past few days. My body already reacted to this, by getting sick last week if you guys recall in my last post. Now that I've recovered, I can do tons of stuff more.

This will be a very familiar site. Not complaining though.

So we're having Forensic Medicine for this week. Nope,nothing like CSI, Bones, Gerak Khas or anything, because the procedure and law are all different regarding to each nation. Nevertheless, we witnessed a post mortem procedure right in front of us , and it was intriguing. It helped that our lecturer was strict yet you can sense that he wants to help you get through the class. Plus its not that far away from our hostel, its like only a 30 minute journey by bus and metro, that is if the bus is on time.

Trying to make the education process more fun.

My parents went to Korea for a week, and they're on their way back home now. I only asked my mum to get me a t-shirt, I don't really know what kind of special souvenirs the koreans produce, so a t-shirt would be proper enough.

This is all I know about Korea. Honest! xD

I have sore throat and a mild case of running nose for a couple of days now. It worsened today. Temperature was normal, good appetite, no headaches, I sense that when I exhale, the air was warm. Now the inside of my nose feel ticklish,which means that I will sneeze soon, which I don't really like. Well, they say that we make the worse patients, and I think there is some truth to that. I just hope by drinking lots of water, having a rest and taking the medicine prescribed by Abah will do the trick. I don't have fever, but I don't wanna go to that stage. The end of the semester is near and I can't afford to play catch up with my classmates.

Look at the handwriting. Thats what real doctors are all about eh :p

I woke up sort of early today. And suddenly I had the urge to go take pictures. I just wanted to take a walk really. So what are these Seven Sisters? They are Stalinist style skyscrapers with almost the same characteristics and specs, commissioned to be build by Joseph Stalin of course, who wanted the West to know that the Soviet Union means business, and have character.

So today I only went to one of it, the main building of the Moscow State University, the most prestigious university of Russia. When my parents came here last summer, me and my sister brought them here as it is one of Moscow's main attraction. I wanted to finish visiting all Seven Sisters today, but then realized that they were too far apart and it was kind of hard to finish them all in a day. It is possible, but today was not the day for me. It was a fun experience though. I walked all the way from behind the Red Square until I actually reached Metro Oktyabrskaya. I never knew it was that near! Anyway, enjoy the pictures taken by my modest little digicam :)

I mentioned in my earlier post about me playing with the university football team. Turns out I was selected for the Inter-varsity Games after all, and much more than that, I was selected as the first eleven. We had only our second training together to acclimatise ourselves with the field and a friendly game against MAI (Moscow Aviation Institute) and I must say, those MAI guys can pass the ball around with ease, and are much more comfortable with holding the ball. As for us, we were quite decent in the first half, but to the end of the second half, they scored 4 goals in what, about 5 minutes or so and thus they beat us 4-0. So you can understand our pessimistic goals for the coming games, so called Sechenov Intervarsity Games (SIG 2011).

We were the first to arrive, at about 8.00am or something, and it was a cold morning. But we were used to the weather and was sure our training was much worse than this. The badminton guys and ping pong were also playing at the same venue, so we had some supporters here and there. Then there the Raptorz boys who were cheering for their star player Shan, our friends Dol, Mok and the lads who came after their Sudeb cycle not that far from there, and others who I forgot to mention. A special thanks to them.

The team from Volgo was supposed to play first but since they weren't here yet, we had to play first, against strong favorites and home team, M1. The game was quite balanced, and we created better chances, but a slip from Aman was capitalized quickly by their nippy striker and he slotted the ball coolly past our reserve keeper, Dinesh. The game ended 1-0, but to be honest, we deserved at least 1 point. At that point, I was only thinking of getting through the day one game at a time, plus I was quite hungry.

Then my sister and Allysha came to support, together bringing with them energy drinks and some food, so it was really a morale booster, so thanks sis! :D Our second game was against Volgo, and I only knew 1 guy, Izwan Syafiq. The Volgo guys were stunned with Iqbal's quick thinking when he shoots from just around the D area, into the net. Its celebration time since it was our first goal of the day. Then came the tricky game against dark horses Kursk, who indeed uses black jerseys, which was intimidating. We though we could get 3 points against Kursk since they were just beaten by M1 some time before, but they stood their ground and we couldnt get past their defence, so 0-0 was the final score.

Our final group stage game was against the slick and quick passing team, MAI. I was nervous, and it was a tough time trying to keep myself strong against their winger, but mostly their attack just came from the middle and as always, the reliable pairing of Lavan and Azzam, and some help from Aman, helps soothing things around. Then we have our own Gattuso, Shazli who did the dirty work and stopped all their attacks. Shan and Iqbal controlled the midfield, while Vara by now was out injured until the end, with hamstring attacking him, gifting a place to Mizi, which was later proven crucial. It was still early in the second half, and we have ourselves a corner kick. I somehow thought, "lets give this a try" and just went up there on my own as they were only about 3 of our guys in the penalty area. Shan did an out-swinging corner and I just missed it by a bit but then Iqbal kicked or flicked back the rebound just before me, and I just couldn't miss an open goal, scoring with my head and screaming with delight. We settled ourselves and went away with a 1-0 scoreline, getting second in the table and with a semi-final against Kursk in our way.

I really though Kursk was going to be a tricky game, as surely they would have already know our tactics by now. But our midfield general Shan was not to be denied, as he scored a delightful long range shot from the middle of the pitch I reckon. It was a beaut. Then Shafiq finally opened his account for the day by scoring his characteristic long shot. He was there again in the second half as his delightful cross found the flying header of Mizi and the old man also got 1 goal for his memory.

3-0 was the final scoreline and we were delighted as the silver medal was surely ours, and it was a long and unpredictable journey to the final. Going into the final, we were only left with just a few of our players. Joining the injury list were Iqbal, Vara, Reez, Shafiq and others I dont remember. All I know was the defence was rock solid and lastly only Lavan went out with an injury. I was really proud with the lads but we were really tired and out of depth, and so we lost to M1 with a 3-0 scoreline which I think was kind of justice because really the M1 guys played better and they are damn fit. Thanks guys for getting me a medal which I really appreciate. I even have my own story to tell with my headed goal which sealed our passage into the semis.

Its April, and there's still snow. I'm tired of complaining about the weather, so I'll just let it slide. I like to think of it as God's judgement to all those rude and selfish Russians, who treats foreigners very badly.

I had a very bad day yesterday. Granted, it was fun playing with the uni team on a proper football field. I was shortlisted as one of the players, so I went to our first training in the cold. As we reached there, it just happens that it was raining. At first it was moderate, then all hell broke loose. Knowing that I would have no grip whatsoever if I just used my futsal shoes, I went with Dinie to buy new and proper football boots the day before, such was my excitement :D

So I bought these bad boys.

Not really my first choice or my cup of tea, but it was desperate times. Its quite cheap for Puma shoes, as I got a 50% discount. I was quite excited as it has been literally years since I wear proper football boots and play on a football field. The place where we played was very far from our hostel though. It takes about 1 hour by the metro to reach there.

This metro station is named after the Soviet guy who commissioned the killing of Russia's last imperial family.

It was fun playing there, but I personally think that I've let myself down. The boots were great, no doubt, its just that I haven't really settle myself when playing yesterday. I didn't make a single tackle. I managed to assist a goal, planted a header from a corner kick against the bar, but apart from that, I just missed so many balls. Misjudgement of the ball, out of position, although I was only out of position just because I wanted to help the guys, because I think they weren't really penetrative enough. Anyway, seeing other guys in my playing position doing rather well kind of dampens me. Alas, I want to do damn well when the next training comes, and by that time, I want to teach the wingers or attackers a lesson :)

Sooo...last winter holiday I went on a Eurotrip again, this time with Hazirah (Ajee), Irfan (Ipe), Diana (Yana) and Sharifah. It will be my first time traveling by train around Europe, so I was looking forward to it, the experience and all. The weather was of course, unforgiving, but you have to expect that, since it was winter. It still is winter here in Moscow, what with blizzard and all. Truth is, traveling during winter is much much cheaper for us students. But just a few hours before boarding Air Berlin at the Moscow Domodedovo Airport, there were news about suicide bombing at that exact airport. Not wanting to worry my parents, I called my dad and told him about it. He just told me take extra care and don't walk alone. You'll never walk alone =p Ipe quickly called Air Berlin and asked them about our flight, and it seems that ours was good to go. Due to the commotion, the taxi asked us to go to the airport an extra 2 or 1 hour early because he don't want us to run into trouble in regards to the tragedy. When we arrived there, it seems like its normal and really, the only thing was that there more Militsiya (police) personnel and police dogs. Other than that, you wouldn't know that a bomb exploded just hours ago. Russia just has her ways of covering up eh.

We arrived in Berlin in the morning, the flight was excellent, good job Air Berlin. I think this would be my second time in Berlin Tegel International Airport. Didnt really had breakfast much, because Berlin would just be our transit before taking the train to Prague in the afternoon, so we kinda have to rush. Sharifah and Ajee havent been to Berlin before, so they were extra excited. But Ajee and Ipe were rushing us so much so it gets me kinda annoyed. The weather was pathetic. It was raining, windy and cold. As it was, the train terminal was not that far away from the famed Brandenburg Gate, so we took a walk. And it was a hell of a walk, what with the rain and all. Funny thing, we bumped into our batchmates, Kumen, Hari, Yan and their girlfriends. Out of all places, heheh.

We didnt really went anywhere far, just around those places, the Berlin Memorial, buying souvenirs and stuffs, then went back to the train terminal to have a rest and a good decent lunch. The lunch was a Turkish meal, and it was delightful. Expensive? Yes, but this is Europe, and something's gotta give.

After a very delicious lunch, we boarded the train, and we were off to Prague, Republic Czech :)

It wasn't meant to be. After going through everything from getting the nod of all players, rushing to beat everyone to get the borang, we limped out of the tournament. Even from the start, things were a bit dodgy. I decided to let Hanhebat be the captain because as a final year student here, I thought maybe he can gain some final glory on the court. He rejected Toh's Saints team for ours, and there was a great difference. Saints bowed out without even getting a point in the group stage, while we, Angry Birds, could at least held our head up high by gaining a creditable point against the purple wearing Belacan M1 team.

We just had to be the first team to start the match. Our group stage isnt very fair to say the least. Theres another M1 team called Kaki Bangku and a group of MAI juniors team. First of all, that red Adidas Sala futsal ball sucks, and it bounced all over us. I honestly thought we could get a win over Belacan but all of us were not used to that fucking ball. We conceded our first goal unfortunately when I let Mok handle a long bouncing ball that just went over him and an opponent which then surprised our keeper Dinie. The ball then had an unfortunate deflection and went in. Determined, we attacked them. I even went in a one-on-one situation from a wonderful pass from Hadi, but I am a defender by trade, with no composure, thus I blasted it away. As the game progressed, Shazli got us a goal back and our pride were intact. From a Hadi knock down, I rushed to get to the ball. As the ball was bouncing awkwardly, I saw a Belacan guy was going for the ball and I thought, the fucker surely wants to use his foot to get this ball at this height, so I purposely threw my body forwards and got a light kick from him near my xyphoid process, as I clutched my chest and went down. It wasnt really hurtful because I knew the guy was taking back away his kick, and I appreciated that.

The second game was against an M1 all star team with their president Suzuan and some other guy who Hanhebat doesn't like :p We had some trouble containing their pace as they sprayed their passes around. We never really had possession as they kept on pressing, even their defenders went up high. I think I could contain Suzuan a bit well, what with his pace and creativity, I just restricted him to the flanks and accidentally kicked his ankle while clearing away a ball from him. But he seemed okay. I think as a nifty little player, he got used to such careful attention from defenders. Hadi got us a goal but we went down 2-1. Sad.

The final game was the final straw. I think most of us are all tired, even me. We couldn't match the MAI team's game-play. And for the first time that day, I was rested and Mok started the game alongside Hanhebat in defense. Catastrophe followed when MAI attacked us relentlessly and gained a 2-0 scoreline. They have the upper-hand. I tried to bring us back with helping the attack but in doing so, we were exposed at the back, which I already told Hanhebat when we started the second half. I wanted to go all out and help the guys, giving them options with my constant running and whatnot. This in turn gave Dinie and Hanhebat headaches with the quick pace of the MAI players. At time I had no choice but to foul some guys in the process. Hanhebat even had his own version of a futsal version of wrestling clothesline when he blocked 2 strikers in one move. Awesome. Then we were out of the tournament, this time losing 3-0.

The grouping stage was very tough, and I think those MAI and Kaki Bangku team that went through deserved to go further, because I felt our Angry Birds team was only at the standard of Romanian or Danish teams in the Europa League. Get it? They were not miles before us, its just that they had class. They're like the Atletico Madrid or Juventus compared to us. On the bright side, all of us had ample playing time, we got a creditable draw, and next team we could watch futsal while eating lots of food during the knock out stages, while they have to battle it out, heheheh.

So Angry Birds, I'm proud of you guys, stay angry, and slay those pigs! xD

You know what, despite this, I've never played this game. Winda told me that in the upcoming UMNO Games, there's an opening for some futsal teams. Seeing that me and Shazli both play, she suggested us to grab the opportunity by the balls. I think without us even admitting it, it would be hard for Shazli to pick players and form a proper team, so, seeing that I am a neutral,with more than adequate connections, I took it upon myself to form a team. The name Angry Birds came up. It was Shazli's idea actually. It sounded funky, so I accepted the awesomeness of the name. The hard part was forming the team.

Hanhebat was unfortunately tied with Saints, but due to some clauses, he severed his ties with Toh and joined us, the motley crew. Next up was K, the lanky player with surprisingly good touches and finishing. Then it was one touch specialists Hadi and Zufar, goalkeeper extraordinaire Dinie and the tough as nails defender, Mok. The team is complete, but we are still contemplating about signing Jebat captain Shafiq. No answer yet from him, but I think we'll have to manage anyhow. Hanhebat is already excited, telling me about tactics and stuffs, good for you bro. Meanwhile, me and Shazli also discussed the varying formation and cheats during class breaks. I really hope this will be a joyous occasion for the dudes, seeing that it will be their final tournament here in Moscow, theoretically.

But hey, lets hope for the best, and support us, Angry Birds! :D

I'm sorry to say, I am actually like all the others, educated by the mainstream media. I do like pop culture, although most of the time people actually assume that I don't give a fuck, just by seeing my face. I like Star Wars, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, the Matrix, all those stuffs.

And now I'm itching to watch Tron Legacy. Is it the neon lights? The cool soundtrack by Daft Punk? The awesomely hot Olivia Wilde (the one who plays the bisexual #13 in the House series).

Plus, I'm a sucker for Disney movies. Always been. I used to watch Disney movies on cable when we were in Belgium, and like a lot. Watching movies teaches me English somehow. Nobody teaches me English when I was small. It was kinda like informal education. My mother ensured me that I can mengaji Al-Quran, read jawi properly, know how to write jawi, when we were in Belgium. So I went to learn all those with an Indonesia housewife, whose husband was doing a specialist course. I'm really grateful for all the teachings. It was then a pity, that her husband suddenly died of a heart attack, at such a young age (30-ish or something), leaving her behind and her only daughter. Looking back, Belgium was definitely a nicer place than Russia, even if I was living there from 1991 to 1994.

How about a winter trip to the UK and Belgium next time around? :D

Yes, my biological clock is now fucked up, and I really want to wake up early during these study weeks, but the earliest that I could was at 10am. Without using an alarm clock mind you. I rarely indulge in watching independent or indie movies, let alone a Malaysian one. But this is a rare gem. In fact, it was just one of the few movies that kept me literally at my seat, watching it with intend, while waiting for the story to gather pace. Gadoh is a classic story about teenage angst and confusion, caused by raging hormones and difficult upbringings. This movies just shouts straight at your face really, what the Malays and Chinese think about each other. In the end, we are all the Malaysian race. Well I can't really write a synopsis very well, its up to you guys to watch and judge. But its a real eye opener for me :)

So today I went to shop for groceries at the nearby Ashan City near Metro Belyaevo. The view was quite stunning though. Actually I was going to shop yesterday, but the ground was too slippery and yes, I feared for my life =p You see, even in sub-zero temperature, there was a bit of rain instead of snow, which makes the ground slippery as the water freezes. You can see the effect on the trees too.

Introducing the Philips SHP 1900 headphones. I've been wanting to get a new headphone for a while now, since the one that I inherited from the roommate has started to get cracking noises. It has given me excellent service while it still lasts by the way.

It went into production since 2007, so its been out for awhile now. The rating is 7.3 out of 10, not bad for a 283 rubles headphone. Last time I checked, it was 262 rubles. So I have to act quick. The ideal time is going after my class at the hospital ends tomorrow, and since its a Friday, its no big deal.

So, off to Metro Avtozavodskaya then, where the shop Pleer.ru is located. Tired. Gonna sleep now. Toodles.

Now, everyone likes sleeping, right? I mean, the chance to rest your eyes, body and soul, and fly away in your dreams, like nothing else matters. As for me, I'm ok with sleeping, but I'm not really hardcore. I have a doubledeck bed, and mine is the upper one, so I'm not really eager to go sleeping everytime I have some spare time. There are conditions though, where I just cannot stand, and I automatically fall asleep.

How long has it been? I simply don't have much time for myself anymore. The weather is killing me. -20'C, and even lower. How is that even possible? Anyway, I am surviving Russia, and that is no mean feat. Yesterday was a fun day. The RSMU Malaysian students' Interbatch Games were held. I joined my batch's futsal and handball team. I even scored 3 goals. How's that? Haha. If I had a girlfriend I would surely dedicate my goals to her hehe. I think I was a bit over the edge and cocky when celebrating the goals. But hell I don't care, I work my ass off to get those goals. But in the end our team could only get second last....We had fun though, and I'm glad the guys weren't complaining.

As for the handball team, we were crowned champions! I didnt score, just running around, defending and stuffs. I was even accidentally punched in the face by a junior. No big deal, its sports. Credits to the hardworking Kumarendran S.Kanesan (Kumen) and Jivan Latif (Jivan) and Yumnesh. They really worked their socks off. So my Saturday ended just like that. But it was fun. =)

Ahh..such nice dreams I had yesterday. Couldn't really remember what, because its a dream, I was just suddenly in the middle of it, sort of like Inception. I really like that movie, because in some way, it makes sense. In some way lah.

Have been paying people to cook for me for this month, but unfortunately they will not take any orders anymore starting from December, because you know, class finally caught on to them, and they have lots of things to do. I can understand, we have only 1 month or so left before our winter exams, and we need time to prepare and study. So I have to start cooking again, and so my random pick of cuisine will start again. Sambal telur, kurma telur, sambal seafood campur, telur masak kicap. I'm lazy. But I need to eat nasi and lauk berkuah somehow, and I don't really like eating out. Bukannya kenyang pun, and always its not really worth it.

Therapy class was killing me. It still is! I had stress for 2 whole weeks.

Its finally weekend, and finally I can blog something. Well, I'm gonna watch Toy Story 3 now since I'm already up. Oh, random fact, I actually am ok with horror movies, I just don't like the part when they cut the limbs or korek mata or eating someone's shit continually (The Human Centipede). I don't, ok >;( Here's to a good weekend.

Routine of mine for the past few couple of days.

Woke up around 7 or something. Room mate already in bathing attire, just getting out of the bathroom, getting ready. Me still in slumber mode, sitting upright on the bed, pondering what to do next.

Got down from the double-deck in a jiffy, got a bit of morning-wood (hehe..) , took towel and off to bath with good old hot water.

Getting dressed. Topped up the sky juice for the day, Evian bottle nonetheless.

Not forgetting the protection for my injury-prone, yet luscious lips.

Finally, my earphone, one of the tools of entertainment as I enter the metro, spending an average 45 minutes in nothingness, staring at old people and funny smells.

Then my class started around 10am, finishing at 4.30pm. With just 1 break, and lots of patients to cover. Its good that our lecturer exposes us to lots of things, I just wish she didn't push us to do so much homework in such little time. But its ok, I'll just have to go through it anyway.

Back home around 6pm, waiting for my food to come. If I have time, I could afford to take a quick nap for about 1 or 2 hours, no more.

Eat, bath, the usual stuffs, then, have to complete the stuffs she ordered us to do.

Sleep at about 1.30am or 2am. I think I have enough sleep, but the tiredness is killing me.

Life as a defender is hard. If you do too much skill, your captain will shout at you and tell you to stop that bullshit and just pass the damn ball. If you misjudge your tackle, people who don't understand what happened will just screw you and say you just want to injure people. If you play with too much passion, people will say chillax man lets just have some fun. Is it fun to see wingers or strikers just go past you and making fun of you? Then pity the goalkeeper who doesn't have any protection because the defender just stood there without action. Football is harsh. Defenders doesnt get all the credits they should have, like blocking, screening, tackling, body contact, clearing the ball with the head or feet, assists for goals. Don't judge us defenders too early, understand what we've been through.

As for me, I'm a running-type of defender. I don't think I'm fast, but I think my will and eagerness is always 120%, I never give less to my team, even when I'm tired. I don't have skills, I don't have the brains also, so thats why I keep running and running to help my mates. Though sometimes I get frustrated and tired, I end up kicking someone's shins or thigh without intention. Its football. Even as a defender, I was kicked about too. Yesterday I don't know who, but someone kicked me at my shins, and it was pulsing. As always, I let my injuries heal themselves and just let go. I dont even remember or know who it was, but I dont mind. Just one last thing I want to say.

Today is a Russian holiday, and suddenly I had the urge to buy a point and shoot digital camera. I browsed the internet for about 2 to 3 hours and suddenly thought, "fuck it, I'm gonna buy it anyhow". So off I went to Metro Avtozavodskaya where the shop pleer.ru is situated, together with my rather tall and sometimes misunderstood roommate. So hurrah, I got myself the Canon Powershot A3100 IS. I've just had one or two testing shots, but later I'll be updating.

It was a Sunday. And while most of my mates are lazying around and enjoying some good time by sleeping, me, Dol (Sufrin Mansor) and Ipe (Irfan Ghazali) decided to be a man and went for a walk. Did nothing much but eating and sightseeing. Reached back home at 8.00pm, but went back happy because I got myself something :)

Yeah I got myself a slouchy beanie from H&M just like Jake Gyllenhaal.

My whole body is aching. My left ankle hasn't been the same since I injured it during training, when I accidentally stepped on the ball and misjudged it. Nevertheless, I gave my all for the guys yesterday, and I hope it was sufficient enough. We lost though. But it was not before we all rallied to make a comeback. It was okla, a game's a game :)

I finished watching my second dorama of this semester, or was it the third? Hrmm.. It was Takuya Kimura's Tsuki no Koibito or, Moon Lovers, whatever that means. I'm lazy to make a synopsis, so here you go.

Its been a stressful and tiring week. Extended my visa on Monday, didnt bring my contract because it was not stated on the RMSA website that I should, so I had to rush back and get my contract in order to get my visa done. Why do we have to extend our visa every year? Students in other countries doesnt really have to I think. Its not like I wanted to stay here in Russia for long anyway. Its just that time and time again this stupid bureaucratic procedure is wasting our time, money and energy. Living in Moscow especially gives me all sorts of headache.

The Pediatrics lecturer was nice. She still is. She takes her time teaching us, using simple Russian words, although most of the time she's busy with the phone.

Spending an average 1 hour in the Metro everyday.

Rain has been falling for 2 days now. This really makes it harder to get out of bed. My roomate is usually gone to class by 7.45am, by that time I was just only suffering to get my towel and bath. Not to mention that I get hungry in the morning. In the afternoon too of course. Usually I'll bring a bottle of mineral water, although, it can't do much other than rehydrating me. Class usually finishes by 2.00pm, by the time I already lost all my focus and was only thinking of food and the comfortness of my room. Nowadays my guilty pleasure is sleeping before dinner, a bad habit I copied from my roomate =p

Today was a harsh day. Have to battle it up to get into the bus from Metro Konkova to the hostel. It was really packed and I was stuck by the driver's compartment. Along came a babushka (russian nenek).

Bab..eh..babushka : Move it move it...I know there's more space..get in..

Maladoi chelovek (young man) : Impossible to move. No room.

All the while I've been stuck in the middle with my classmate, with nowhere to move.

Babushka : I said move it! They don't understand russian, these people.

My classmate was getting edgy and angry. Understandably so since the babushka was right behind us, pushing us in.

Classmate : Hey we can speak russian ok! And theres nowhere to go!

Myself : Oh no no...we cant speak russian..I dont understand russian at all.. *sarcasm*

Babushka : *really doesnt care for anything* There is space, I want to move.

Myself : I told you theres nowhere to go! Nowhere! (in russian) You stupid idiot! (in english)

Yes, I really said that. I'm sort of proud of it.

All in all, she went her way and finally went further inside and then went out. Strangely enough, the other russians were cool and just minding their own business, while this nenek just cant seem to settle herself down. Russia. One of those days.

Sometimes in life, you don't get what you want. Its not that you haven't strived for it, its just the way it is. Like for instance, when I was small, I like Formula 1 so much that my ambition was to be a race car engineer, or something. Because you know, boys like cars. But then I grew up, and had to be content with what I have to do. I tried my best, in my UPSR, PMR, SPM. I was above average, but it was just that I am not really excellent. I am just above average. And what do I have, that is different, compared to others? I can't really say that I'm a genius, like my roomates, and still, they study hard. But as the saying goes, mess with the best, die like the rest. So if I mingle with the best, I am bound to be as best as they are, right? I always wanted to an "ulat buku", but I simply cant sit by my desk for more than 30 minutes with just books. I just cant. Athough, I am especially in an overdrive mode if I have to pass a Patient's History report the next day, or maybe a presentation in class.

I wanted to play football so much, every week. Because for me, and girls will never understand this (although I suspect they never really wanted to understand it), it is one of my way of tension releasing, if there is such a word. But now, I play football in the league just for 10minutes, and with cuts and bruises. That is not what I want. I want to play happily with the guys, for 1 and a half hour, making silly passes, a bit of laughter, no pressure. But well you know, the sportzal (sports hall) has been manipulated by certain people, so what can we do? Even if we complain, it will almost always end in pointlessness.

Connecting people.

I had 2 days without internet. 2 fucking days. Thats a lot in Russian time. If I was in Malaysia, like during the holidays, I dont give a crap. I'm not really online much when I'm in Malaysia, so I dont really care. But in Russia, if you don't have internet, you are not connected to the world, or any people, at all. Sounds like I'm exaggerating, but its for real man. Malaysian students here can go crazy without internet. They are even willing to go through heavy snow and blizzard, with conditions of -10'C just to go to the internet company to complain why the hell their internet connection have been compromised. Its true. So hey, what did I do to spend my lousy 2 days without internet? Lets see.

Studying a bit more than I usually do. =p

Takdela study apa sangat pun. I don't really have class on the next day, just lectures. So I was just having light reading and preparing for my presentation on Hypothyroidism. I'm having Pediatrics now, and the lecturer seems kinda strict. Since there was no internet connection, I just have to resort to the usual old school (hehe) books and notes. My roomate was also the same, tapi dia lagi rajin daripada aku pun selalunya (ulat buku).

Watching X-files.

I used to be scared shitless every Wednesday night watching X-Files. Dah tau takut nak tengok jugak. I just finished downloading the full first season of X-Files. Its like back to the future you know. Yela, dapat tengok stail baju masa 90-an dulu, ada span kat bahu hehe. I can already sense a good chemistry between Mulder and Scully. The storyline was okla. So when I have nothing to do since the internet was gone, it was the perfect time to face my demons.

Watching Jaden Smith's Karate Kid.

Should have been called Kungfu Kid though. This kid got sixpacks weii, damn! The storyline of course follows a bit like the original Mr Miyagi's Karate Kid la, but Jackie Chan was ok. Oh and the amoi was kinda cute :)

Playing Football Manager 2010.

I usually try to avoid playing this game because I can get easily addicted with it. I once was scolded by my ex because I was late fetching her, all because I was stuck with this game hehe. Now I'm using Ajax Amsterdam in the Dutch League, and I feel kinda awesome, as you can see in the table above :)

Watching Piranha 3D, but not in 3D... :(

Damn it I should have watch this in Malaysia in 3D la of course. Tapi aku rasa kalau kat Malaysia mesti dah banyak kena potong haha.. There's so much of those "Spring Break" scenes, falling bras, wet tshirts, you name it. I cant quite say its scary, because the scene was so bright and colorful, kinda like watching Narnia. What I can say is, dont watch this movie with your family, ok? :D

So, thats pretty much what I've done to kill my boredom. There are other stuffs, but I think those are just menial and petty. Usually I dont care much if I dont have internet connection for awhile, but for some reason, I went a bit mental la pulak. Is it because I've using Twitter a bit much lately? As you all already know, my hobbies includes football, formula 1, anime, manga, a bit of travelling and sightseeing, sometimes cooking, reading books, japanese dramas, korean dramas, rarely malay dramas, and once in a blue moon, a bit of shopping. I was never the type that cares of gives a shit of things that I don't have, like a PlayStation, new shoes, laptop, or anything. My family is not rich, its just that, we are happy with what we already have, so I was brought up like that. We never moved away from Bandar Baru Bangi, as my mum worked in UKM, and my dad in HKL, so there was never a point to move anywhere. I'm not complaining though, Bangi is an awesome place. New shops and interesting restaurants are appearing like mushrooms after a heavy rain.

So anyway, I've been using my SonyEricsson W980 and well, I have no qualms about it. Sometimes its jammed, but I guess thats normal. But all the people around me are using smartphones like Blackberry, Samsung, and Apple's iPhone.

My roommate's iPhone kinda look like this.

My dad has been encouraging me to get one for years, but I don't really get the point of having it, since I'm only interested in just taking pictures or listen to my playlist. But I think I've changed my mind. I mean, even she has bought herself an HTC smartphone. And now I do feel kinda outdated.... =.=' Here's my shortlist. In no particular order.

1. Apple iPhone 4. Stylish, bug free, cool apps. Maybe a bit of poor reception.

2.HTC Evo 4G. 8 megapixels camera (!!), microSD card until 32GB, Android OS 2.1 (latest is 2.2), though the design is kinda dreary..

3. Samsung Galaxy S. Screen resolution is superb.

But................as I already mentioned in my earlier posts.....I am in a tight budget, so the smartphones have to wait.. =((( Some time later I'll rant about DSLRs and stuffs.

I'm sick and tired of this shithole of a place. The food is terrible. The people are arrogant assholes, right from their children, to the makcik, nenek and atuk. The language is damn hard to learn. We can't cook in our block anymore. The lecturers are picky and only likes the kaki bodek ones. First impression matters the most. If you make a stupid mistake in the first time, then expect to be labeled a target and being pick on the most by the lecturer. Bribing? Well, what can I say. I don't want to talk about that. Honestly, I don't really think they give a damn about our rights or well-being. Hostel contract? University contract? All in their language. And nobody even care to at-least translate it for us, or maybe hire a lawyer to represent us, in case we were being mislead or some sort. We cant have a special room for our prayers. The militsiya is always checking and picks on us, wanting to see documents, passports, or maybe expecting something else. And the internet? Well we already had good internet in the first place, the service was good. If we have any problem, with just a phone call, the technician will come and fix the line. But now the uni wants to monopolise the internet also. And so they gave this piece of shit they called iWave internet. Which every 15 minutes or so goes offline online, and what the hell man, I'm not using wifi, so its supposed to be stable. So ok, a year and a half left living in this dump. Perseverance, right.

Oh but thank God for this.

Just a mundane and normal week for me. Classes and everything. Oh and I was caught using my stove to cook by the Dean. You see, it is now forbidden for us to use our stoves and cook in our room. We now have to utilize the common kitchen, and cook there. Problem is, the kitchen isn't functional yet in my floor, the 6th floor. And I'm so damn lazy to go cook upstairs at the 7th floor common kitchen. Afterward, I had to go and see the Rector, who was so damn scary. So he gave me a warning, blahblahblah, typical stuff that people with authority says. Anyway, all was well, and it was nothing much really.

Yesterday, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dato' Ahmad Shabery Cheek, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Datuk Richard Riot Jaem had the liberty to visit us in Moscow, and we had dinner with them, along with other 600 or so students, at the Malaysian Embassy. The food was great. But I had stomach ache the next morning. Apparently other people suffered from it too. I hope the VIPs didn't suffer from stomach ache when they are in their planes.

Started a new cycle this week, Gynecology. It was interesting, the lecturers were young and nice, so far apart from my lecturers during my last cycle, Infectious Diseases/Epidemiology. So, everyday we had the chance to see how they perform hysterectoscopy, which I tell you, isn't really pleasant. Anyway, one of my lecturer has an iPhone 4, which is kinda cool.

The weather has been ever changing here in Moscow. Take one situation. So you're late for class. Damn it I have to get ready real fast! So you bath the obligatory 5-10 minutes. And then it hits you. What the fuck am I going to wear today? Jeans or khakis, t-shirt, normal sneakers, but which jacket? Ahaa, its 9'C I see on my weather forecast, for sure its gonna be cold here in freaking Moscow. So I took my heavy and thick jacket, plus a scarf just for measure.

5 minutes later in the Metro...its hot!!!! Why, don't they have any air ventilation here in the train? I was like sweating, and the Russians don't even flinch. What are their skin made of? I guess maybe my metabolic rate is higher than most people, which is why I am skinny? Not really absurd.

Lots of open houses this weekend in my hostel. I'm really looking forward to it. Hey, don't we have any football training this weekend? But my ankle kinda hurts still..The initial pain is gone, but whenever I land heavily on my left ankle, it sucks. Hanhebat says the lunch set in Pizza Hut near Metro Tretyakovskaya is superb. Gotta check that out.

I'm a realist. I wont huff and puff unless I know that I am going to get some. I rarely set my aim high, or dream of getting cool stuffs. Because I know it is out of my league. But anyway, to each, his own, right? Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe you should set your aim higher, and not just settle for puny menial stuffs.

As much as I like cars like Lotus, Lamborghini, Koenigsegg, Bentley, Maybach or so on, I know that my chance of getting one is but a slim chance. I might as well get myself a house in some urban areas around KL for the price of one of those cars. But here are some cool, affordable, stylish and hip cars for the young adults like us. All these cars are now available in Malaysia, and they all fall around the RM 100,000 or below category. Check it out.

All are using 1.5 or 1.6L engines, meaning, with RM70 or so, you'll have a full tank. And as you guys have already noticed, all are saloon cars, more like family cars, but they have a bit of an edge in the styling department. Unfortunately, due to high taxes on imported and foreign brand cars, we don't really have much choice in getting the best in what we want. For me personally, I would very much own an Audi, but I guess I have to wait for that until I am more stable financially, or maybe when I'm into my 40's.

So, which car do you guys like? Hey, you gotta be realistic too ok.

Oh and another thing, I care very much about the car safety and airbags and all those stuffs. I experienced it. So I know about it.

This week I had Epidemiology classes. Its boring, and it doesn't help that I had a boring lecturer. Everyday I have to wake up at 6.30 or 6.45 in the morning, get ready, and be at the hospital by 9.00am. It is damn far. Every morning there will be the occasional lecture for 2 hours straight without a break. Then we have a one hour break, before class starts at 12.00pm, until 3.00pm. Without a break! Come on. Give me a damn break. The first few classes were ok, but then, I couldn't resist to close my eyes whenever the lecturer teaches us. Isn't there anything you can do make this less boring? Like a slide-show? Video? Interactive games?Anything? She would just talk for 3 hours straight.

For the first time in my life, I started to think, that humans can get tired by just listening to someone talking. How is that even remotely possible?? Its already autumn, the temperature is around 15-12'C. Sometimes it rains. But most times its just the cold weather. Yesterday, I woke up around 7.30am or something. Why? Because I got used to waking up so early in the morning.

Firstly I should say, selamat hari raya aidil fitri, maaf zahir batin, to all those who know me. Nothing much I can say, except that I spend my first day of raya in the hospital. An infectious disease's hospital rather. And its pretty damn far too. Here, I took the liberty to MS Paint the Moscow Metro map.

Takes about 1 hour 30 minutes of public transport journey.

The class itself was quite ok, nothing stressful. Yet. I expect much from next week. And it gives me the chills. And you know what else gives me the chills? That I'm just 1 and a half year from graduating. Am I ready enough? Do I have enough experience? Do I have what it takes? Sure, we learn 6 years of medicine here, but its different in the real world. And reality is cruel. Its a bit of dilemma, you know. In one part, you want to finish your studies as fast as possible. In another part, you are really gonna miss being a student, and doing all crazy things and shit.

For now, my main motivation, is for my family, and myself. My dad sacrificed a lot for us, so does my mum. And I am just doing whatever I can. So what about my raya in 2010? Boring as hell. This was my last raya in Moscow. Next year I'll be celebrating raya in Malaysia during the holidays, insyaAllah. Being in Moscow is killing me. It sucks all my emotions and feelings out. So, I tend to release all my tensions, and do all those crazy stuffs with my friends during my holidays in Malaysia. And boy it feels so good.

And not forgetting, happy birthday to my mum, Saadah Haji Jaffar, the best mum ever! Whenever I ask about pocket money, she can never say no, hehe. So well yeah, I'm mummy's boy.

The journey back to Moscow was lame, almost uneventful. The plane from KL to Dubai was ok, but the seats, leaves much to think with. It is so damn crammed. I was flanked by 2 girls, one, a Nigerian who was on her way to study in Toronto, Canada. Another was a budding medic student, accompanied by her mother on their way to Birmingham, England. Strangely enough, I was drawn into a conversation by them first. Because you know, I have really really bad social skills. The Nigerian just asked me random questions, maybe because she was bored or anything. Interestingly, she put on a winter coat complete with fluffy animal fur on her body. I guess it was cold in the flight. On the other hand, I had a good talk with Dashini, who said that it was going to be her first time away from home, much so, in England, which was why she brought her mum for the trip.

Didn't sleep very well in the flight, my neck aches and I think I smell a bit. Good thing I've cut my hair short, so at least I will look good. I was so tired that I slept alone with my hand carry luggage and laptop at the Dubai Airport, plus I was hungry. The trip from Dubai to Moscow was better. I had ample space for my legs, as my seat was near the exit door. Then a stewardess asked me if I was from Indonesia (they always ask if I'm from Indonesia, because of the facial structure and skin complexion). I said no, I'm from Malaysia. Then she said wow, I just came from KL, such a nice place, good food, ate lots of stuff. I also asked her how her stay in KL was, if it was ok or not. Pretty cheerful stewardess I must say. Then I asked where she was from, because she looked distinctively Chinese or Vietnamese, then she said that she was from Bangkok, which explains a lot. I borrowed a pen from her, as I need one to fill in my Immigration form. I forgot to return the pen though. Well I just assume that its a little present from her. =)

Hungry..what to cook for tonight? Maybe a pack of Brahim's again.

Somehow, somewhere, somewhat, all the messages in my phone has been wiped out. What the fuck?? All the conversations and shit, all gone. I think some magnetic field or thingy has caused my phone to wipe out all the messages. Damn it. But somehow all the numbers, photos and other stuffs are still there. Did someone mess with my phone? Come on man..

Anyway, I'm back in Moscow, its 10'C and there's still about 5 hours before Maghrib. Not much to do in a Saturday, the offices are closed.

Its the time of the year again. Going back to Moscow. God I hate it. I really hate it. Plus I only spent about a month of my holiday at home this year. This sucks. But life must go on. I hate all the packing. I hate all the goodbyes. I hate all the things that I wasn't able to finish during my short stay. But I'm glad that I spoke up and gave everything that I got. Yesterday, I woke up in the morning as usual, pondering what I should do for the day, as there's only so much time left until next Thursday, the time when I will board my flight to Moscow. Then my SASER friend Fauzi Suwarno (Pojie) texted me, "Watpe dude? Ble dtg kl lg hehe". So I decided to lepak at his rented house or flat or whatever you call it once again, and break my fast there. The fuel in my car tank is almost empty, and I forgot to ask my dad for the fuel card, so I filled in about RM10 worth of Shell fuel. I went to the Bazar Ramadan near PKNS, that place is usually fun. So I bought Nasi Kerabu, some kuih-muih (RM2 for 5 pieces, mahal nak mampus), murtabak ayam and F&N air sarsi berkarbonat. From the bazar it was 5.30pm but only around 6.00pm that I passed the Kajang toll, it was so jammed. KL wasn't that jammed, perhaps people are going out of KL are more than people that are going into KL. I was cruising, trying to conserve fuel as much as possible.

Then I arrived at Pojie's place in Pandan Indah. A normal bachelor's place, but with barely any furniture hehe. Before Maghrib, we battled in PES 2010 and I kicked his ass every game. The azan can be heard from his house, and we duly broke our fast and dig in. After Maghrib prayers, once again for me, a boys talk session, hehe. I asked him about his relationship with his girlfriend who now went back to her home in Kota Kinabalu, what his vision was for his future, and more stuffs. Of course I was asked about my stuff too, and I got plenty of advice. It was getting late, so around 10.45pm I decided to go back home.

Still, my head was not clear yet about something, so I asked Johan if he's free for a walk and talk. Picked up Johan, and we just went to Fasa 3 tambahan or Bangi Perdana just near our homes, talking about stuffs, and once again, taking advice. Its good to have someone to talk to. Your plan doesn't necessarily goes to work, but at least there's someone who knows what you are about to do, and maybe, interested in the progress of your action. As for me, I'm still abit blurry and all, but what is clear from everyone is, I need to be confident and state what I want clearly, and not just mumbling around like I always do.

Now I know what to do.

Then, it hits me like a train. I'm 24, without assets, or ambition. To be honest, I only have RM100 or something left in my Maybank account. What does this mean? Am I reckless? A big spender? I don't think I'm lavish. I can have all I want by just asking, but rarely I did. So I had this conversation with my school friend and neighbor Johan Vanhaecke who's doing his second degree in Business I think in HELP College University, and asked about financial advice. I like to talk with him a lot about many stuffs, because like me, he's also still a student, and like me, he's single. Although he chose to be, haha.

This is also a conversation that I had with another friend, who although I don't need to tell her name, she was the girl in the post before this one. I'm giving you guys an insight, I'm actually privately funded, by my mom and dad, and I am not studying under a scholarship. That gives me a horrendous amount of pressure to succeed and give back whatever they want. So my dad gives me allowances every month without fail. Starting from now, I'm going to save about 1/3 of my allowance every month, and that is a big deal for me. Living in Moscow, you need to prepare yourself for everything. And I think this means going to the pasar for me or something like that. I still have 2 years before I graduate. And if I can save my money without any problems until 2012, it is highly probable that I don't need any pocket money anymore from my parents when I graduate.

As adults, we need to have plans and goals. We cant really live for the moment, or having a fool's dream. We have to work for it. I did my research, and by that I mean surfing around other blogs and googling around. For fresh graduating doctors, or houseman, the JPA states that gaji bersih is around RM2500. This does not include others like allowances and on calls, which means the pay will get higher. I'm not complaining. If I'm not mistaken, post-graduates doctors in Russia has to pay the hospital to employ them so that they can finish their mandatory 2 years housemanship. How about that?

So anyway, when I graduate in 2012, I'm thinking of just using my dad's Toyota Corolla for a couple of years more, rent a house and live alone not far from the hospital. I try not to have a roommate for privacy reasons. Finish my housemanship in 2 years time and I hope to get settled by then. Maybe starting a family, but hey, you have to get a job first too right? I guess my dad already pushed me to stay in the government sector, and I'm just returning the favor.

As for Azzam, nantila aku cerita kat kau kat Moscow nanti. Boys talk. Haha. =D

I've watched so many movies in just so many days. But its all good, because it is just one of the ways for me to stay close with my friends, maybe have a talk or laughter after watching a movie, you know, doing silly stuffs. Here's what I've already watched :

1. Predators.
2. The Last Airbender.
3. Inception.
4. The Expendables.
5. Despicable Me.
6. RepoMen.
7. Salt.

And I watched Inception twice. Because its awesome. Well no actually because I was going out with different friends, and they haven't watched it yet.

For an unlucky guy like me, it sometimes is funny hearing stories from old friends about their lives, yet, insightful. It pains to see that a girl you like so much, but you could not have for whatever reasons, get dumped by guys every time. I mean, whats the big deal? She's cool, she's smart, kinda cute in the looks department, likes to talk a lot, funny and cheerful. Although I don't really put any hopes on her now, but we're kinda like good friends, so we talk a lot about ourselves, and our lives. I mean, I got rejected by her, but the ones that do already have her, acts like she's not a big deal. What the fuck. I feel sorry though. But the be fair, I don't really know exactly the big deal, I don't know both sides of the story. Maybe she's too queen control, maybe she's too jealous, but I'm not taking any side, but I think that guy is an idiot. He don't know her like I do, and I don't think he makes an effort like I did.

To be honest, I'm not supposed to talk about other people's crap, but I just feel sorry for her. It is a private matter, but I don't think she reads my blog anyway. She never mentioned about it, so I think its cool. No I really hope she didn't read my blog. But since its my blog, I'm entitled to say whatever I have in my mind. And for her, I wish her happiness in life.

Hello again. Selamat berpuasa to my readers who are Muslim. Say, its been 2 weeks or so since I came back from Moscow, and I am now in my beloved Bandar Baru Bangi. Bangi hasn't changed much, just the countless numbers of restaurants and kopitiams now sprawling around. It really makes you spoiled for choices. I've been to Ice Room, Pappa Rich, some other obscure restaurants, Azura, and the occasional mamak places like Impian Maju and Hassan's. Well I don't really like Hassan's because the food doesn't taste so good. The view is nice though. =D

One of the many lousy reasons why I don't blog nowadays in Malaysia is because I have slow internet connection in my house. I'm still using the caveman-technology dial up internet. I think I'm the only one in Bangi still using it. I've met friends, family, and all sorts. I love it every time I spend my holidays back home. Especially in Bangi, they have everything here. You can wear sarong and pagoda t-shirt, with selipar jamban or anything and can walk without conscience to Bangi Utama/Warta and shop for some stuffs. And by the way I am using selipar jamban to go anywhere, just ask my slacker friends Johan and Haikal.

Hmm. I was going to upload some pictures but the internet was too damn slow. Perhaps later when I get to any free wifi places. Till then.

The Domodedovo airport in Moscow is fucking hot. So, my advice to all is, prepare yourself, and do whatever you can to keep cool. As for me, I'm wearing a buttoned shirt, so I just open my shirt a bit. Better still, using cool water in the toilet to cool down my face and neck area. I don't know, maybe there's no ventilation at all. What I can confirm is, there's no air conditioning at all. I think that's about it. I'm supposed to be lining up now to board the Emirates flight from Moscow to Dubai. Its going to take 5 or 6 hours, I never really pay attention hehe. Well, I'll keep you guys updated in Dubai. Kyotaro suffers a serious injury to the head while trying to protect him, but Jin manages to save his life despite a lack of proper medical equipment. Because of that, Kyotaro's sister Saki begins taking an interest in Jin and becomes his assistant. Meanwhile, Jin is determined to find a way back to the present.

Well, this is by far the most interesting medical J-dorama that I encountered. The procedures are much more real than the ones that I've seen in other doramas. It gets good rating from Jdorama.com and it has a viewership rating of 18.9, which is quite a big deal. We can also see how the samurai is a different class to the peasants and normal people, which almost always hassle their way of life, and the transformation of Edo (the old name of Tokyo) into a much more modern place.

I'll be flying back home this Friday, so hopefully I can finish watching it by then. =)

Currently sitting pretty in 4th place. Funnily enough the board was still not happy.

I'm now starting a new league, attempting to relive the glory days of Spartak and break the domination of CSKA Moscow, Zenit St Petersburg and new superpower Rubin Kazan. The money in the coffers was quite decent, but I had to sell some players to balance the team. I'm still trying to find a good RWB and a strike partner for Welliton. My vision is to finish in the top 4 in my first season, maybe getting a Europa League berth, and some useful cash injection. The problem is, where to find Russian players who are more than ambitious to get to Spartak. Mind you, Spartak hasnt won anything for a very long time.

I got quite a handsome sum of money from the selling of playmaker Alex to Spanish giants Barcelona, and also by selling the rest of the deadwood. My favorite transfers going to the club was surely the Russians, Victor Boudianskiy, Victor Faizulin and Anton Bober. Fabian Monzon is also doing well with his excellent statistics backing him.

Expensive, but worth the buy. Very consistent.Work rate is very good. I'm still expecting the more from him for years to come. A very good DC from the Ukraine.

Argentinian LWB Fabian Monzon with very good stats. Loads of green signs in the picture above, meaning that he is already very talented.

Solid at the back as usual. Old timer, high influence level and all sort of things.

Welliton is my goal machine. Man, seriously.

..KL Drift Evolution..

So yesterday in my boredness, I've watched 2 Malaysian movies, Evolusi KL Drift and Evolusi KL Drift 2, just to know what the heck it is about. I'm a big fan of racing, I love Formula1, rally cars, and the manga Initial D. I even watched the Hongkong movie of Initial D alone in the cinema. But I'm not a motorhead, I dont really know what to deal with my car if it breaks down, I just know how to drive it, like a normal person would. EKD and EKD2 was quite fun to watch, but the acting was only just bearable, urgh. Here's the pro's and con's.

What I like about it :

1. I would obviously love to support Malaysian movies.
2. Especially if it has big budgets like these 2 movies.
3. Its nice to see a Malaysian movie with loads of cool drift cars in it.
4. Iqram Dinzly and Shaheizy Sam managed to look like maniacs and able lieutenants.
5. Aaron Aziz was very taiko like.
6. Theres a clubbing scene with hot chicks in EKD, sadly, as it was at a club, theres not much light.
7. Good to see some racing in Putrajaya. I always liked the wide roads and scene at night.
8. Scha Al-Yahya is cute.
9. The only good actors in these movies are Aaron Aziz and Farid Kamil. The rest are add ons.
10. Cops also knows how to drift! I respect Remy Ishak's character. I wish every cop was like him. Theres no need for that moustache though.
11. A character died in EKD, with my friends' name, Razi, hahaha.
12. The racing in the streets of KL was more believable, unlike Impak Maksima.
13. Good to see that the hero in this movie tries his hardest not to let people sell drugs at his place.

What I dont like about it :

1. I'd like to see it more realistically, whats wrong with having a Wira or any other national cars?
2. KL is supposed to be full of Mat Rempit, where are they when they were street racing?
3. I hate Fasha Sandha's corn row hair.
4. I hate how Shaheizy Sam and Aaron Aziz puts chinese slang in their Malay conversations.
5. Too much exposure of their sponsor, Toyo Tires in the beginning of EKD2. Its called product placement.
6. I would like to see more of Farid Kamil helping his friend in EKD2, instead they made him unable even to drive.
7. Syamsul should stick to directing, not really acting in his own movies.
8. Need more hot chicks.
9. Malaysian street racers dont use NOS?
10. If Remy Ishak's police drift car had blue police lights it would be more awesome.
11. Instead of crying and sobbing, Syamsul should call the ambulance when Scha was dying.
12. Its funny when they raced in all kinds of places, theres no toll booths.
13. Lets see them drifting in the highway roads up to Cameron Highland or Genting Highland.
14. Please use actors that can really act.

All in all, I give the movies 3 out of 5, because Malaysia need more action-packed movies instead of cheap horror flicks and stupid comedy stuffs. Later I'll review a more interesting movie, Budak Kelantan.

Whenever I open my internet browser, Soccernet is a must place to go. Its official, but sometimes the news are fishy (I'm talking to you Harry Harris). The news is a bit dreary but its ok.

Well, obviously, since I am a blogger. Its fun to see the blogs of other people, without the need to actually interact or see them hehe. Its the cyber era.

Well what can you say, I'm a football junkie of course! =D Football365 offers news with an informal twist, unlike Soccernet. F365 is a bit light on the news and they can afford to crack some jokes.
